Nigel first blew into brass at the age of five as the mascot of the local Sea Cadet Corps. He graduated to the trumpet at seven and at ten played his first professional venue at the Variety Club Awards in London in front of a celebrity audience including The Rolling Stones, Lu Lu, The Shadows, Cilla Black, Jimmy Saville, film star Stanley Baker and a host more.

It was the beginning of a successful career, signing with Decca Records and then the Fontana Label releasing three solo singles, Chelsea Bun, Afrikana and of course the moving trumpet piece written for him by Alan Moorhouse, High on a Hill. These successful singles led to world-wide tours across Europe, Australia and the USA where he had the fantastic opportunity of playing with the legendary Count Bassie Orchestra at only seventeen years old.

He was appearing regularly as a solo performer on most of the major television shows with BBC and independent channels in the UK and abroad and appeared in three Royal Command Performances. (Four if you include the King of Tonga)!

Having toured the globe successfully for some years Nigel then turned his attentions to what he'd wanted to do for some time, and that was to write and produce music.
